MateRight is run by Tracey Gainey, a Derbyshire dog breeder with more than 30 years’ experience raising Cocker Spaniels, West Highland Terriers, Maltese and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
After years of using testing services herself, Tracey set up MateRight to give fellow local breeders a faster, more personal alternative to accurate results, explained by someone who breeds dogs for a living, not just a printout.

How quickly will I get my results?
Usually within about an hour of your sample being taken. I’ll talk you through what the result means for your girl straight away.
How many tests will my bitch need?
Progesterone rises gradually before climbing sharply near ovulation, so most bitches need a handful of tests across the season to track that pattern accurately. I’ll advise you on timing as we go.
How far do you cover?
I’m based in Heanor, Derbyshire, and welcome all breeders local or further afield.
Do you test all breeds?
Yes, any breed. With over 30 years’ experience breeding Cockers, Westies, Malteses and Cavaliers myself, I understand what you’re going through and I’m happy to help however I can.
